The issue of community permanence is more important than ever as we see the landscape of our neighborhoods evolve. We want these transformations to benefit those who have been dedicated to this community. My office is steadfast in the notion that we have invested in South LA when no one else would so we should be around to reap the rewards of our work. We serve as a conduit for residents to connect them to resources so that they are the beneficiaries of South LA investments and that our culture is not erased.
